The Great Western Jazz Company draws upon the Classic American Songbook, as well as popular Dixieland and small band swing numbers, for its repertoire.  Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman  ‘rub shoulders’ with Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin, and the band has musical programmes to suit virtually all tastes and occasions, from Wedding Receptions and Anniversary Parties through to Jazz Festivals and Corporate Functions.

The music is the music we all know, and above all, is great music for dancing.  In a newspaper report on a recent ‘President’s Night’ society function : “ After a meal and speeches, members and guests packed the dance floor for the rest of the evening to the music of  The Great Western Jazz Company…. ’’

The band uses a top quality p.a. system, including Heath & Allen and Wharfedale units, to ensure top-notch sound quality. Particular care is taken to ensure that volume levels are appropriate to each occasion, contributing to the enjoyment and success of each function.
